Welcome to the Lamar Middle School & Fine Arts Academy Dance Department
The Lamar Dance Department is part of the award-wining Lamar Fine Arts Academy.
The Lamar Dance Department provides opportunities for dance at every level - beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Ballet classes are also offered.
For those dancers interested in the most comprehensive and performance opportunities, the Lamar Dance Company is available, by audition, to 7th and 8th graders.

Our performance at the annual Night of Jazz is coming up on Thursday, December 11th at the Congregation Beth Israel on 3901 Shoal Creek Blvd, Austin, Tx 78756. A detailed schedule for performers is below:
5:00pm-5:30pm: Performers Arrive and Warm Up
5:30pm-6:00pm: Rehearsal
6:00pm-6:30pm: Performers eat dinner
6:30pm: Doors open
7:00pm: Dinner for audience begins
7:30pm: Performance begins
8:30pm: Event ends
Students should arrive in costume with hair and makeup done. Your student can leave as soon as their dance is over or stick around to enjoy the rest of the performances.
